Small Arts Organization Awards Applications Available

Great music isn’t limited to the concert hall just as fine paintings aren't limited to the art museum. 

Summerfair Cincinnati Awards for Small Arts Organizations is designed to increase opportunities for arts experiences for all members of our community regardless of age, ability, income, or location. The Small Arts Organization Awards program provides awards up to $5,000. Please know that we like to spread our giving to as many of you as possible, so only ask for what you really need. These funds are to assist organizations with the creation of new programs, expansion of current programs or assistance with production or presentation expenses. 

Timeline:

• Applications available: Friday, Dec. 15, 2023

• Applications due: E-mailed by Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, 11:59 PM.

• Applications reviewed: Tuesday, Feb. 6 – Saturday, March 2, 2024

• Awards announced: Wednesday, March 6, 2024

• Awards allocated: Monday, March 18, 2024 

Criteria for consideration include: 

• Quality of the art performed/produced• Number of people benefiting from the program/project • Impact of Summerfair Foundation's contribution 

• Unique or innovative aspects of the program/project 

• Diversity of the target audience 

• Potential for the program/project to attract a new audience 

• Project must occur within 1 year after the SFC award date 

Organizations may receive an award for two (2) consecutive years: at that point, one award cycle must pass before another application will be considered.
