Year-Round Outreach

Our Mission:  Summerfair Cincinnati is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 arts organization dedicated to supporting young artists, individual artists and small and mid-sized community-based arts organizations through awards, scholarships and exhibitions.

Since 1968, when a group of art lovers got together to stage the first “Summerfair” on the streets of Mt. Adams, Summerfair Cincinnati, Inc. has been supporting and promoting artists and the arts in the Greater Cincinnati region.  Summerfair Cincinnati programs provide award, scholarship and exhibit opportunities to a variety of emerging (high school and college), individual (working professional) artists and local/regional small and mid-sized arts organizations.

Summerfair Cincinnati does not receive funding from City, State or Federal governments.  Its primary funding vehicle is the annual Summerfair fine arts and crafts festival. The festival generates funds via patron admissions, exhibitor booth rentals, sales of T-shirts, posters and other merchandise, as well as corporate sponsorships. A group of dedicated “green shirts” (Summerfair member volunteers) along with one staff person, work throughout the year on a variety of projects, including fundraisers, to build community awareness of its programs and to market its annual Fair.
