Two of Hearts

My inspiration for this particular quilt was derived from the idea of playing cards. I decided to name the piece Two of Hearts relating to the central image in the quilt. It was a photo taken
in the stock room of the art store where I work. I have to admit
the image I was given from one a past Summerfair t-shirt was not that
inspiring at first glance. But, I decided to cut it into
different pieces and discovered that it could be used to create the
frame around the photograph. Thus the foundation of the piece was
born. This quilt used a variety of techniques learned in the
creation of soft sculpture as that is my fiber art background.
