Board Reorganization Proposal:
In August of 2007, the Summerfair Board met to discuss long term objectives and strategies for Summerfair Foundation Inc. As a result of this meeting, we launched an effort, led by Bob Hinman, Roger Harding, and Dave Ziegler, to design and recommend a Board restructuring aimed at focusing on 1) delivering long term objectives and 2) keeping our annual operations (including the Fair) running smoothly. To make this change requires a change in our Summerfair Foundation Inc. Bylaws, and that must happen through a vote of the Membership in July.
Below are the differences between the current Board structure and the proposed structure. Below are links for the revised bylaws. We encourage you to review these changes. Summerfair's bylaws must be revised to incorporate this organizational change. While the entire bylaws need to be reviewed and updated, the changes to incorporate this new board structure are shown in this proposed copy of the bylaws.
